The movie, a property that no one had ever heard except for faithful fans of the comic, raked approximately in six hundred million worldwide, topping the record for MCU standalone movies (held by Iron Man and five hundred eighty million). Kevin Feige, CEO of Marvel, even stated he has hoping it would make at least four hundred fifty million. Surprise!
