Where is the Last Infinity Stone? (Comic Book Cinematic Theory)

by Elijah Varner
*minor Doctor Strange spoilers ahead*
If you're not excited for Marvel's Infinity War, you're not alive. The studio has been setting this up for as far back as Thor in 2011, in and end credits scene showing the Tesseract. So far, we've seen five. Let's recount where they are. If you don't want to do that, just scroll down to the theory.
Space Stone: The Tesseract

This was the very first Infinity Stone to manifest itself in the MCU. It was hinted at in a end credit scene in Thor, and was made a significant problem in Captain America, where we first see the effects of an Infinity Stone on a human, hence Red Skull dissolving. Right now it's happily residing in the vaults of Asgard. It's been confirmed that the actual cube part is a protective case that keeps the user from frying itself. Potential of the stone has been limited to being able to power lethal weapons and create gateways into anywhere space. The blue stone itself is where the energy is centered inside of the cube. It's most likely Thanos will go after this one pretty early, as a way to get to the rest of the stones.
Mind Stone: Loki's Scepter/Vision's Head

We were first introduced to the yellow Mind Stone in The Avengers, as Loki's Scepter. It was later revealed to be a Mind Stone in Age of Ultron. It has been extracted from the scepter and embedded in Vision's head. This, in turn will probably lead to Vision's eventual death, but, whatever. It has the most capabilities shown out of all the stones, able to take control of anyone's mind, give people superpowers, and shoot lasers. I' m sure that Thanos will take control of some Avengers with this one, and possibly be able to take away Scarlet Witch's powers? Maybe. The s
Reality Stone: The Aether

The Aether was first seen in Thor: The Dark World. In its natural state, it's a liquid, but was shown in Thor's vision in Age of Ultron that it can condense into a stone. They haven't really shown what this can do, but has been confirmed to be able to break down the laws of physics. Malekith also revealed it has the power to bring darkness to the entire universe. A fan theory suggest that the Reality Stone can pull different probabilities from other version of the MCU from the multiverse(introduced in Doctor Strange) This is arguably the most powerful stone in Thanos' arsenal. Right now, it's in the possession of the Collector, but may have been lost in Guardians when the Power Stone exploded. It's a pretty easy steal, if you ask me. You'd think you'd entrust an object as powerful as that to someone who can keep their servant from betraying them.
Power Stone: The Orb

The Orb was first seen and confirmed as an Infinity Stone in Guardians of the Galaxy. It's pretty powerful, being able to destroy any organic matter by touching it. This stone also was the first example of how strong you need to be to wield a stone, either being Ronan or the Guardians holding hands. Right now, the Nova Corps have it safely in their vaults. But, they haven't really proven to be the most powerful organization, so Thanos can probably take that one in a snap.
Time Stone: Eye of Agamotto
As I speculated far before the movie even came out, the Eye of Agamotto is the Time Stone. It's pretty powerful, being able to reverse events that have already happened, create an endless time loop until the bearer decides to collapse it, or foresee possible future events. This, like the Reality Stone, is one of the most powerful of the stones, and we've only begun to see what it can do. What we do know is that because of it, Strange was able to reverse the destruction of an entire city, and stop the most powerful magical being introduced in the MCU so far.
Finally, Where is the Last Stone?
Okay, by process of elimination, we now know that the last stone, the Soul Stone, is orange, the only color shown in the Collector's display that hasn't been revealed in the movie. In the comics, the Soul Stone controls the balance of all life and death in the universe, and is also where all lifeforce presides after it leaves the body. Life force powers the Soul Stone. Ready for mind-blowing?
Okay, so we haven't seen any orange stones. But what if it isn't a stone right now? Let me just lay out some facts. Stay put.
-Asgardians can live longer than humans
-Orange energy is seen flowing all around Asgard
-Every once in a while, Odin must retire and recharge his Odinforce, the power that holds all of Asgard forever
-Heimdall can see all souls in the universe
-On Heimdall's chestplate, we see a picture(below) of the Igdrisil, the tree of life in Asgard that Odin draws his Odinforce from, with an orange stone above it.

-Heimdall eyes are orange.
-In Thor's vision, (which is mostly a shade of orange)Heimdall is blind, and everyone is presumed dead.
-In set photos of Thor: Ragnarok, we see that Odin has become mortal, or at least is stranded on Earth
What's the Connection?
Time to put it all together. I presume that the Soul Stone is the Odinforce. When he does his Odinsleep, he replenishes life to all the Nine Realms. This, is turn, explains why Asgardians can live longer than humans, because they have a direct contact to the Soul Stone. Heimdall's eyes are orange, giving life to the speculation that he especially has a connection to the Soul Stone , being able to see all the souls of the universe. If he died, as he himself stated in the vision, then he would be in the Soul Stone. This would explain why he's blind. How would he draw power from it? He would be the power of the Soul Stone. If Odin is mortal then he must not have done the Odinsleep, which means no Soul Stone power, which means no immortality. Is the Odinforce the Soul Stone? You decide.
